Show mmmm CONNIE MARSHALL - 386-2851 Dr. and Mrs. Ira Larsen and Marylou of Tucson, Ariz, visited here with relatives this week. Pat Williams of St. George and Mr. andMrs. Grant Pryor joined them for a vacation at Lake Powell. Merle GillinsandVieMar-shall GillinsandVieMar-shall spent four days visiting visit-ing in Salt Lake last week. They enjoyed shopping and visiting with relatives. Last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Phyllis Truman, Marie Marshall and Shirley Hollingshead attended the IWY Convention held in Salt Lake at the Salt Palace. The three women said the experience exper-ience was really a good one and they were very happy they attended. On Monday night, Mr. and M rs. DougAlbrecht and fam -ily, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kel-sey Kel-sey and family,Mr. andMrs. Chris Marshall and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Roberts Rob-erts enjoyed a cook -out at the 'stock grounds' east of Minersville. The children fished and played games while the adults visited and grilled steaks. It was really fun. Blake and Linda Carter and children, Shawn and Can -dice, spent three days camping camp-ing in Parowan mountains with Linda's parents. Joe Hillock of Cedar City Allen Carter is working in Nevada. He is there with his helicopter doing a job that will last about two months. He will be returninghomeon weekends and holidays. On Wednesday morning, a Boy Scout flag ceremony was held at 10 a.m. at the church in Minersville. It was an outstanding event and the Scouts need to be com -plimented for their efforts. Tom and Joan Makin and family have moved to Salt Lake. We hope they will return re-turn home often to visit. Everyone in Minersville be sure to get a float ready for the 4th of July Parade. Get involved. visited on Sunday at the home of Vern and Florence Wood. Mr. and Mrs. CDell Thompson of Henderson, Nev. spent a few days visiting here last week with Homer and LaRue Harris. Last Thursday night the Ladies Ball Team played an outstanding game in Cedar City. The final score was 9-6. They are really proud of their accomplishments. Wade Marshall, Shane Maycock, LaDell Eyre, Darren Dar-ren Davis, David Albrecht and Allen Davis are all playing play-ing in the Farmer League at M ilford. These 8 -year -old boys show a lot of enthusiasm enthusi-asm and are very greatful M ilford invited them. Minersville had 15 boys and girls of MIA age who participated last Friday in the Dance Festival at Beaver. Bea-ver. Minersville is very proud of these teenagers and hope they feel rewarded for thier efforts. On Monday morning at 8 ajn. Larry Carter was on his way to his farm on the F lat. When he turned off the oiled road to the dirt road, his truck went out of control and rolled over. Larry wasnl even scratched, but the truck is a disaster. Marie Lee of Beaver was visiting in Minersville one day last week. She visited with Geniel Dalton and Connie Con-nie Marshall. Lisa Eyre spent most of last week visiting in Salt Lake. She had fun shopping and visiting with friends and relatives. |
