Show Beaver High (J Tales By Terry Lemon The Golf Team won the Region Re-gion 8 Championship, beating beat-ing Kanab, Panguitch, Paro-wan, Paro-wan, Delta and Enterprise during the season. Congratulations Congratu-lations Team andCoach Lynn Parsons! The Band held a bake sale Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to raise money for their planned trip to Disneyland. Disney-land. The school held a "Senior Citizen Day" on Wednesday. The guests spent the day going go-ing to the different classes and had a chance to compare, their own school days with ours. They also were served lunch In the cafeteria (and they survived it!). The Cheerleaders and B-Steps B-Steps held a pep assembly Friday. The Junior Varsity football foot-ball team had a game with the Dixie Flyers on Thursday. Thurs-day. "Dixie scored twice in the first quarter with a run of 35 yards and a pass of 65 yards. They scored twice in the second quarter with a pass from 80 yards and a reverse re-verse run for 75 yards. In the 3rd quarter, Dixie scored on a long run from a 6 -yard pass. In the 4th quarter, Beaver's Jeff Williams broke in from the one yard line to give Beaver its only TD of the game. Final score, Dixie 38 - Beaver 8. Allen Carter was named Seminary Student of the Week. Ricky Williams was named Shop Student of the Week. He has been doing some outstanding out-standing work. The last game of the 1975 football season was played Friday night in COLD weather, weath-er, at Milford. These two rival teams always give us a good game. Milford scored first on a field goal. Beaver made three TD's, then Milford Mil-ford scored again. Final score, Beaver 20 - Milford 9. Beaver now advances into the quarterfinals and will play East Carbon. Good luck Team! The Art Department of the school Is sponsoring some art classes for the public from now through December. Decem-ber. They will study painting, paint-ing, pottery, macrame and other types of art. For details, de-tails, call the Art Dept. at the school. I haven't heard many students stu-dents boasting about getting their deer this year. "We've gone out almost every day," said one student, "we saw a few deer, but about a hundred hunters everywhere we went." Cheer up, there's always next year. |
