Paul and Audrey McGinn and son Lance were here visiting from Scottsdale, Arizona with his parents, Gil and Barbara McGinn. Sergeant and Mrs. Tom (Adele) McGinn and two children, Shaun and Anne, have been visiting his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. McGinn. Tom has returned from serving in Thailand and will be reporting to Hill Air Force Base in Ogden. Paice, who recently gave birth to her third son. Irene Stewart and son James and his friend Jon Burt of Beaver enjoyed the movie in Beaver last Friday. Clinton and Jane Myers were in Cedar City on Friday Fri-day on business. Mr. Dennis Miller has been in Salt Lake City attending at-tending school for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson, were in Glen-wood Glen-wood Springs, Colo, on business busi-ness over the weekend. Orion and Nelda Memmott were in Cedar City Saturday visiting their son and family, fam-ily, Jan and Ann Memmott and new baby, Jennifer. A new grandson of Orion and Nelda Memmot was born recently to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Memmott of Cincinnatti, Ohio. He has been named Aaron Thomas and joins a five -year -old brother, Christian, at home. Roger is an instructor at the University of Cincinnatti in the area of creative writing and English. Max and Margie Mecham have recently been to Salt business. James Hollings-head Hollings-head accompanied them one day. The Wolf Cub Scouts, under un-der the leadership of Linda Bradshaw, are working on their air rocket study for the month of January. Mrs. Roy Myers has been in Salt Lake City the past two weeks helping her daughter daugh-ter and family, Boyd and Christine Applegate, move into their new home in Riv-erton. Riv-erton. Florence was also able to visit with her son and family, Roger and Janice Myers, in Granger. Her husband hus-band drove up Saturday after aft-er her. Mr. and Mrs. Max Baxter drove Helen Duffy and son Christopher to Cedar City on Friday for an appointment with the orthodontist. The Baxters also visited with their grandson's wife, Linda Melanie Spring, winner of the Moab Baby Derby, is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper. A good-sized baby girl, Melanie Mela-nie was the winner of the 1975 First Baby contest in Grand County. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Spring on Jan. 1st, at 7:00 a.m., weighing 9 lbs. 7 12 ozs. and measuring meas-uring 20 12 inches. She joins her sister, Courtney, in the family. Dale and Robbin Spring will receive a bundle of gifts from many Moab merchants, who participate annually in the contest. Attending the National Association As-sociation of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Mid-winter Conference were Principal Alfred D. Marshall Marsh-all of Beaver High School and Principal David R Horlacher of Milford High School. The Conference was held in Park City at Treasure Mountain Inn, January 15 and 16. Mr. Horlacher received a Certificate of Achievement on the "Principal Up-Date" conference co -sponsored by Utah Assoc. of School Principals. Prin-cipals. Harold and Beth Edwards are proud to announce the birth of a new granddaughter, granddaugh-ter, Stefanie, born to Gary and Mary Weston of Murray. Mur-ray. Stefanie was born Jan. 3rd, weighing in at 6 lbs. 10 ozs. at the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. She joins three brothers and one sister athome. Mrs. Edwards Ed-wards spent about ten days in Murray helping out. Mr. M. L. Dailey of St. George Is here visiting his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Hollingshead, and granddaughter and her family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Banks. Saturday evening, Jan. 18, many Milfordites enjoyed the Gold and Green LDS Ball held at the Beaver Armory. The theme was "I Honestly Love You" and the decorations and refreshments were very enjoyable. en-joyable. The young folks participating par-ticipating in the Laurie and Explorers classes were honored hon-ored from the six wards of the Beaver Stake. Doris Horlacher accompanied accomp-anied her husband, David, to Park City, Jan. 15 and 16, where she enjoyed two days of skiing where excellent skiing conditions prevailed. Their two smallest children, George and Rachel, enjoyed playing with their cousins, Richard and Cheryl Horlacher Horlach-er and three sons on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, and their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Fred and Irene Horlacher on Thursday. If you see Doris with a red face; she isn't really blushing, blush-ing, she just has a sun burn. On their return trip, the Horlachers stopped for a short visit at the home of Doris's mother, Orla Prit-chett, Prit-chett, in Provo Thursday evening. Friday afternoon and evening, eve-ning, Doris Horlacher was in Beaver attending the forthcoming forth-coming Reupholstry classes and doing some Geneologi-cal Geneologi-cal research at their library. Gary and Pearl Potter and three children were In St. George last weekend visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frendsen of Leeds, and friends, Bryce and Karman Bundy. Kay and Marion Banks and daughter, Mari Jane, were in Cedar City recently on |
