Show White. The theme for ttie evening was "I Honestly Love You" and the band was 'Rumpus' from Parowan. A good group of dancers enjoyed en-joyed the floor show, which featured Dee VanTassell as the Master of Ceremonies and the following numbers: Dale Osborn and Sharl Olpln singing the theme song, "I Honestly Love You"; Natalie Nata-lie Roberts, Pam Wright, Laurie Williams, and Christy Morris singing "Time in a Bottle", accompanied accomp-anied by Rosemary Williams, Wil-liams, Jody Eyre, Julie Carter, and Lacey Marshall Marsh-all singing "Let's Put It All Together", accompanied by Denlse Woods; and a ragtime medley played by Nancy Gale on the piano and Brian Gale on the drums. The juniors and seniors of each of the six wards were presented to the audience and honored with flowers for both boys and girls. It is refreshing to see so many young people support this dance. Mr. Val Smith is back In his fifth grade classroom at Belknap Elementary School after an absence necessitated necessi-tated by an emergency appendectomy. We appreciate appre-ciate the efforts of Michael Breinholt as he referees the local matches, but feel it is unfair to ask him to work his own school. These men should be paid travel expenses expens-es so they can do a fair unbiased un-biased job. Beaver ended up third in the tournament, where the first three places were separated by three points. At 8:00 p.m., Saturday night, the Beaver Stake held the Gold and Green Ball at the Beaver .Armory. Naomi White co-ordinated the event with a youth committee of Karianne Messer, Kathy Roberts, Michael Henrie, Tommy Beard, and Deana We have enjoyed the blue skies of this past week and most all are exchanging snowy yards for mud. The week went by rather quietly. The girls' church volleyball teams are in action. ac-tion. Beaver's SecondWard played BeaveT Third Ward and won both the younger girls and the older girls teams. Beaver's First Ward went over to Milford Second and lost both games to Milford. Mil-ford. Games are scheduled from now on for the month of January. Friday night the Beaver High School basketball team traveled to Enterprize and won quite handily, 77-50. A rooter bus went along to sup- port the boys."
