Figuring the rate of inflation at 10 yearly, any delays caused by the BLM's reorganization could cost as much as $36 million per year in construction costs alone." The general concensus of those present was that they opposed any reorganization. However, if there were no other alternative, it was felt that Beaver County would be better off in the Richfield district, with those personnel per-sonnel who have been associated as-sociated with the geotherm-al, geotherm-al, alunite and oil prospects locally. Inother words, those who are familiar with Beaver Beav-er County in the Fillmore office of-fice still having input into the growth and progress in Beaver County. . This hopefully would avoid delays in Beaver County development de-velopment caused' by transfer trans-fer to the Cedar City district, dis-trict, where new personnel would have to familiarize themseiyes with the area, environmental impact statements, state-ments, and many other aspects as-pects which could cause unnecessary un-necessary delays. If you wish to have input into this decision which will be made in March, we urge you to write to one of the above addresses before February Feb-ruary 5th. Beaver County, which has always been a part of the Fillmore district, if the proposal pro-posal is adopted, would be come a part of the Cedar City district, which would then encompass all of the 5-county area except a portion por-tion of Garfield County encompassing en-compassing the Henry Mtns., which would be annexed to the Richfield district. At this point-the proposed is still tentative, and protests pro-tests may be filed until February Feb-ruary 5th with the BLM State Director, P. O.
