Show HEARING WILL DETERMINE ROUTE OF BICENTENNIAL A public hearing tonight will determine if Milford will get a share of the millions in Bl -centennial funds, as other communities throughout through-out the nation are doing. Local people are being asked to decide the projects to be submitted for Bicentennial matching funds. The meeting Is in the Elementary Ele-mentary School at 7:00 p.m. Beaver County was allocated $18,000 matching funds for the Bicentennial. Beaver and Milford were to receive $7,-000 $7,-000 and Mlnersville $4,000. Both Beaver and Minersville appropriated city funds for matching monies and their projects have been approved. Milford originally planned to use the Bicentennial monies mon-ies on the golf course and the race track and to light the tennis courts, where matching monies were available. avail-able. These projects were turned down and new ones must be found, with matching match-ing monies at the public meeting or Milford will lose their $7,000. Everbody is invited to attend at-tend and help plan Milford's part in the Bi -centennial. Clubs and organizations especially es-pecially are urged to give leadership. If projects are not determined at this meeting, meet-ing, If may be too late to try again. |
