Bill Wunderlich and Richard Jefferson grabbed the big wrenchs and put the finishing touches on the pump for the golf course Monday afternoon. UP&L is expected to have power to the site sometime this week and then the next project will be planting the seed. The greens still must be mulched with peat moss, but soon the greens and fairways will begin sprouting the green stuff. That's just what It's taken to get this far - a lot of green stuff - plus a lot of hard work. There is still a lot to be done, and your help and membership is needed, pouring the footings for the club house, moving the Catholic Church so Father Valine can start construction of the new one, moving earth, grooming, mulching. And just plain picking up trash from the course. There's something for everyone. Sunday is the big day this week. See you on the first tee! |
