Show Lions E Jif Milestone 50 Years In ftlilforcl from Utah who will be in attendance are Past District. Governor, Lion John Mc-Garry Mc-Garry of . Byrl, will serve as Master of Ceremonies, Present District Governor Glade Winget of Monroe, Lion A. James Lundberg, Past International Director, from Provo, Deputy District Governor Loren Garrett, Nephi and Howard Ronde, Zone Chairman from Oasis. Lions and guests from all over Utah will be intertained to a banquet and entertainment. Fifty years of Lionlsm will be celebrated by the Milford Lions at their annual charter party Saturday night, April 20th. Among the honored guests will be two charter members; mem-bers; Sam Cline, who served as the first president ' In 1924-25 and has maintained a continuous membership to date, and Milton Pool who was president in 1931-32. 1931-32. Also to be honored is Edmund Ed-mund L. Smith who served as secretary-treasurer from 1959-66 and 1967 to date. Besides serving the club as secretary, for 17 years, E. L. served as president pres-ident in 1940-41, District Governor of 28 -H, and a delegate to international conventions three times and plans to go to San Francisco as a delegate this year. Ed also holds the distinction dis-tinction of being the only Utah Lion with a grandmaster grandmas-ter key, for sponsoring seventy -five members Into Lionism. Other distinguished Lions |
