Then from this board of directors the students stu-dents on the board elected a president, cashier, tellers, tel-lers, recorders, secretaries, secre-taries, a police court representative, re-presentative, and a utilities utili-ties representative - the latter two to handle the collection of fines and tickets tick-ets for privileges. A trip was made to the local bank where Mr. Davis gave the students a firsthand first-hand look at the operation of a regular bank. Mr. Briggs constructed a bank for the classroom, and the bank went into operation last Friday. Each student opened open-ed a savings account as well as a checking account, and fines were paid by the use of their checkbooks, which had been contributed by the local bank.
