Show WE'RE SAD! We're Sad! We're sad that the Tigers lost the ball-game- ibut even more, we are sad that the bailgame ended in the way that it did. We're sad that a couple of players could not control their temper and were evicted from the game. We're sad that there were some fans who also lost their tempers and threatened to take matters into their own hands. There is no justification, and there can be no justification justi-fication for this action. We understand the emotions were high the loss was hard to take and that in this mental state, people will say and do things, that they would not do under normal circumstances. But this is no excuse for ill mannered and unsportsmanlike unsports-manlike behavior. There are means of filing a legitimate protest, if this is necessary. Seldom, in the light of a new dawn is this deemed necessary. We are sad, because, in no way did- nor could the actions of the last few minutes of the bailgame, have changed the outcome of the game. We're sorry it happened. We are certain that those involved, are sorry, also. |
