Show Would you believe that some no-account, snuck in and stole a maltress and springs that had been donated to the Methodist Meth-odist Church for their rummage rum-mage sale last Saturday. Is there .no depth to which some individuals will crawl? o . O. C. Koch reports that vandals van-dals 1!CPH fl oVrtfTi, -..-V several hives of bees he has on the flat. This type oi ac , is neither very sporting or very sensible, with bird season opening open-ing in the near future, it is a pity that some unthinking vandal will pull a trick like this and maybe be responsible for the posting of hundreds or even thousands of acres of choice hunting land. Property Proper-ty owners are not to be blamed for wanting to nrotect their homes and property from these vandals. o O.ne item of business that we would just as soon not have is the pale of "no trespassing" signs. Yet every year there is more and more land put under the sign because some individual in-dividual didn't shew proper respect for another's property. o Far to many of us tend to look the other way when we observe someone violating another an-other person's property rather ra-ther than get involved we take an attitude of indifference and do not report it. This attitude in more populated pop-ulated areas has brought on posting of land, that eliminates almost al hunting, unless you pay a fee to get on the land. Surely, nobody wants this to happen in Southern Utah. We ask that "whenever you go afield you follow the golden rule." "And, if you observe someone, causing damage to another's property, take their license .number, report it to the property owner and to the correct officials, and then if .necessary, back it up by signing sign-ing a complaint, in order to insure that your rights and the rights of others are not indiscriminately abridged by property owners attempting to protect their property from unscrupulous un-scrupulous individuals. o Milford fans should take heed, and cool their tempers, and especially curb their language lan-guage at ball games. Last week's episode, has caused the Kanab game to be played on a neutral field instead in-stead of a home game, and the possibility of this becoming becom-ing a regular thing is not in the least remote if referees and opponents find themselves themsel-ves threatened, they could refuse re-fuse to participate except on a neutral field. o This ruling as of now is for the Kanab game only, but if the Tigers should manage to make the quarterfinals, the behaviour be-haviour of the fans will likely be a concerning factor in the location of the games. Milford's new scoreboard, still not completely com-pletely paid for, could become obsolete and not be used and of course, there is also basketball and other sports that would suffer due to the extra travel and. expense, plus the inconvenience of a neutral court or field. o We ask that the small minority min-ority who cannot control their emotiens, and tempers be extra careful. Take someone some-one with you to remind you of the consequences, and if a.lj else fails stay home and read about the game in the "News". Seriously, the problem must be controlled either we do it ourselves or it will bo done for us and nobody wants that. o We think all will have to admit that breaking the refs leg or riding them out of town on a rail would not have rolled these 32 points back off of the scoreboard. This does not mean to say that Milford should crawl in a hole and quit, if a protest is legitimate, there are legitimate legiti-mate methods of protesting these should be used the methods of the past are wrong! |
