Show DEAR EDITOR Dear Editor: I'm proud and thankful to say that all the "bad" news we see on TV and read about, does not represent all of our young people. America, (and Milford in particular) still has young sons and daughters to give both the "older generation", gen-eration", and the "now generation" gener-ation" hope and inspiration. Be encouraged, you Moms and Dads and Grandparents, who have believed God's Bible when it says "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Our young people aren't all out to prove God is dead. I submit the following fol-lowing letter from my 18 year old son, Ronald Ray, to prove my confidence in our youth. Mrs. Betty Dotson Dear Mom, I didn't buy you a Mother's Day card this time, and I didn't buy you a gift either. But I'll give you a couple of dollars to get what you want. Don't give me anything that you buy with it though, cause you'd be giving me back part of your Mother's Day gift. I thought that this time instead in-stead of writing you a Mother's Mo-ther's Day note, I'd write you a Mother's Day poem. Well, here goes! Here's to a Mother who raised me just right, One who taught nie not to do wrong, So I'd look good in God's sight. To a Mother who taught me when I was still young, Who spoke with her heart, and not just her tongue. To a Mother who helped me, when I had strife, And included me, as part o! hev lite. Yes, may God bless this Mother of mine, Cause it's for her that I'm taking this time! I love you very, very much Ronnie j And Ronnie, your Mother wants to say a very public "thank you" to God for a son like you. Love, Your Mother |
