Vera Dearden went to Delta Tuesday morning to pick up meal a'; Terills. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborn went to Pioche Friday evening to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stewart and Carol Stewart. Stew-art. Saturday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Osborn went to Ely to visit with his mothef-, Clara Calaco and Sunday afternoon, af-ternoon, to visit with Mother Stoker in Milford They also visited with Billie's son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker. They all enjoyed a mother's day dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins. Jerald and Marlene Bates and children, Doug and June Castagno and two sons, and Farrell Bates visited the Cecil Bates and Lanny Bates of Gandy over the weekend. They came out to help Cecil work with the cattle. Saturday evening even-ing they all went to the Pleasant Pleas-ant Valley, Trout Creek and Gandy ball game. Mrs. Mabel Timm of Gold Hill visited her sister, Nona Bates, Friday afternoon, while her husband and son prospected prospec-ted near Gandy. Mr. and Mrs Ron Hunning-ton Hunning-ton and children of Garrison spent Sunday in Gandy visiting visit-ing and getting old car parts. RHODA TERRY ( Everyone was saddened by the death of Rhoda Terry. She passed away Tuesday May 4th after undergoing open heart surgery at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City. Rhoda was an inspiration to all of us. She was very active in the LDS church. Merlin Terry served 22 years) as branch president, with Rhoda right by his side. She was choir leader for the 2-years 2-years that Merlin served and for some time later. She taught many people of the. valley to play piano and sing. She was an inspiration to the young people because of her patience and time she spent with them. She was called on many times to sing at parties, receptions re-ceptions and various services. She was president of the primary pri-mary for some years and a teacher tea-cher in the Relief Sosiety and Sunday School. Rhoda was always al-ways there and willing to help in time of need. Saturday evening the Garrison Gar-rison P.T.A. had a roller skating party held at the Quanset Hut in Garrison. Hot dogs and drinks were sold and everyone, old and young alike, had a good time skating. skat-ing. Sunday everyone enjoyed the Mother's Day program at the LDS Church in Baker.j There were very inspiring talks and lovely musical numbers. num-bers. Rhoda Terry helped plan this Mother's Day program and she was surely missed Sunday as she will be for a long time to come. All the mother's received re-ceived a pretty potted plant.
