Show Assessor for 25 years. At 90 Mrs. Rollins is active and alert. She has been a worker work-er in the L. D. S. Church all her life. She is the mother of eight children, seven of whom are livng. They are Mrs. Maurine Edwards, Stockton, Ut., Mrs. Beth Taylor, Farmington. Ut., Mrs. Merle Fails, Minersville, Mrs. Glenna Foley, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Janet Walker and Virginia Grimes, both of Mil-ford Mil-ford and Keith Rollins of Provo. OPEN HOUSE SET FOR MARIE ROLLINS, 90 Mrs. Marie Rollins will be honored on her ninetieth birthday birth-day at an Open House, Sunday, February 28 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the home of Marion and Janet Walker, 802 South-100 South-100 West. Mrs. Rollins was born March 2, 1881 at Beaver, Utah to William Wil-liam and Sarah Agnes Hutch-ings. Hutch-ings. She married James Henry-Rollins, Henry-Rollins, November 15, 1907 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Rol-ins Rol-ins passed away in 1953. The couple lived in Minersville, Miners-ville, Lund, Beaver and South Milford. Mrs. Rollins moyed to Milord in 1956. In the Dec. 1, 1956 issue of the Deseret News she was featured as one of the few living former students of the Beaver Branch of the B.Y.U. She attended the University of Utah for several quarters, taught school in Beaver, Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Minersville and Milford. She clerked in Beaver and Milford Mil-ford stores and also did work in the County Recorders office in Beaver. Her husband was a farmer and also Beaver County |
