Show WALTER KERKSIEK DIES IN BEAVER OF HEART ATTACK Walter Kastner Kerksiek, 63, Beaver, died at 7:30 p. m. Monday Mon-day following a heart attack suffered while attending a Beaver Bea-ver City Council meeting. He was born Oct. 1, 1907, in Salt Lake, to Herman A. W. and Alma Kastner Kerk?iek. He married Erma White, July 2, 1934, in the Salt Lake Temple. Tem-ple. Mr. Kerksiek was a farmer, greenhouse operator, photographer, photog-rapher, and principal of the Beaver LDS Seminary. He was a member of the bishopric of the Mt. Emmons Ward and the Beaver Third Ward for 26 years, and taught in the LDS Seminary system for 32 years. He served in the Swiss-German mission, and served as president of that mission field. He taught German and science sci-ence subjects at the University of Utah. He served for many years as bishop of the Beaver Third Ward, j Funeral services were sched-I sched-I uled for 1 p .m. Thurday, I March 5, in the Beaver Third I Ward Chapel. |
