Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE As Reported By GWEN PRYOR Brose Dalton of Mesa, Ariz., was in town on business last week. Bob Griffiths of Riverside, Calif., spent several days here last week visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Edwards. O Mr. and Mrs. Grant Rosin of Montpelier, Idaho, visited their daughter, Mrs. Karl Martin and children, over the week end, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dohn Martin. Mr. Rosin blessed and named his new granddaughter at Sunday's Fast and Testimony meeting. Seventeen Minersville students stu-dents will graduate from Beaver Bea-ver High School this month. They are Calvin Albrecht, Barlow Bar-low Carter, Reed Carter, Keith Datteu, Bruce Davis, Ward Dotson, Ray Failes, Neal Hol-lingshead, Hol-lingshead, Gil Limb, Elvin Marshall, Gregory Marshall, Ronald Marshall, Peggy Davis, Lois Eyans, Carolyn Gray, Joan Pryor and Kathy Thompson. Commencement exercise at Beaver will be on Friday, May 26. The Minersville parents par-ents are giving the graduates a banquet and party in the Minersville LDS Church on Saturday, May 20th. The American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary met at the home of Mrs. Pauline Wood. The new officers offi-cers were installed and plans made for the annual Beaver County Livestock Show, scheduled sched-uled for Saturday, May 13. Twelve ladies were present. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson Jame-son motored to Washington, Utah, and joined their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Limb, and the group motored to Las Vegas to be with the Jameson's daughter in law, Mrs. Lorraine Jameson and family, and to celebrate Lorraine's birth anniversary which fell on Saturday, May 5. They returned to St. George to see the MIA ; Festival late Saturday afternoon. 9 Mrs. Jennie Marquardson, Mrs. Lola Roberts and Mrs. Kay Miller and son Todd recently re-cently returned to Minersville after a f&w days visit with relatives rel-atives in Salt Lake. The daughter of Carl Martin was blessed in Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday and was given the name of Teresa. Shawn Pearson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, was confirmed in the LDS Church Sunday. ' O Mrs. Amanda Nolder visited her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pryor, in Beaver. Mrs. Ilene Gray called on her father, I. H.' Lamb, in St. George last week. 9 A birthday party was given for James Davis Monday, May & He is the 9 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Billie Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pryor and Mr. and Mrs. James Eyre spent an enjoyable day Sunday Sun-day motoring to Escalante, Hells Back Bone, the Henry Mountains and Burr Trail. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bohn and Mrs. Gladys Myers visited visit-ed relatives in Las Vegas last week. 9 Last week Mrs, Mervin Baker Bak-er of Caliente was at the home of her son in law and daughter, daugh-ter, Raul and Dixie Pearson, and clLldren. 9 Mrs. Betty Murie and two children of Cedar City were recent visitors at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ella Wood. 9 A party was given honoring Marcine Davis on his birth anniversary. an-niversary. Enjoying the occasion occa-sion were Mrs. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden of Milford. Mrs. Rema Limb was in Salt l ake last week end calling on ner children, a brother and sisters. sis-ters. Mrs. Kaye Miller and baby of Milford are spending this week at the home of her stepfather step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Roberts. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Neal Davis and sons Bruce and Bryant visited their daughter, Glerma Davis, -who is employed in Salt Lake. They also called on Mrs. Davis' father and stepmother, step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Nowers. Mrs. Alta Kelsey and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson plan to attend the wedding of Mrs. Kelsey's granddaughter, Bonnie Bonner, daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. Ralph Bonner, this week end in Salt Lake. |
