Show OLD TIMERS FETE RETIREES j Union Pacific Old Timers I Club 33 held their annual Re- I ; tirement and Visitation Party at the Elementary School on Saturday, Feb. 18. a 6:30 p.m. banquet was served to 155 members and guests. ; Visiting officials were head- ' ed by Byron Van Zandt of j Rawlins, Wyo., president of the j General Committee of Old Timers, and Mrs. Theo Neid, ! North Platte, Nebr., president of the General Committee of the Ladies Auxiliary. Both were guest speakers. W. F. Griffin of Los Angeles, superintendent super-intendent of Safety and Courtesy Cour-tesy for the Union Pacific, was master of ceremonies. Other dignitaries included Cecil Dickerson, secretary and treasurer of the General Committee; Com-mittee; Robert Arion, assistant superintendent; C. F. Bailey, general road foreman of engines; en-gines; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kirkeley of the Safety Department; Depart-ment; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Roberts, Rob-erts, Salt Lake trainmaster; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Acklin, Milford trainmaster; Mr. and Mrs. Mel Fickel, foreman of engines at Las Vegas; Mr. and ! Mrs. Velmar Odeen, roadmas- ter of Delta; Mr. and Mrs. Don Gale, roadmaster at Mil-iord; Mil-iord; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lowe, general electrical foreman at Milford; Grant Mellor, president presi-dent of Club 33; Mrs. Clyde Griffiths, president of the Milford Mil-ford Auxiliary. Retiring guests who were honored and presented life membership cards (were Kenneth Ken-neth Bradfield, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. John Beitz, Mr. and Mrs. Powell Pow-ell Smyth, Mr. and Mrs., Ben Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Paul I. Roberts of Caliente, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Magill, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lang, Mrs. C. E. Leech, Mrs. John Lofthouse, Mrs. Hilton Gillins and Mrs. Ralph Thompson. The program included two dance numbers by students of Vickie Lamb, a piano medley by Mrs. Max Mecham, saxophone saxo-phone solo, Gary Winkel, and musical numbers by the Seventh Sev-enth Grade Boys. Dancing followed the program. |
