Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS By RANEE STODDARD and LINDA JIMENEZ Mrs. Memmott's class haa been working on their science projects. Mrs. Bond's class had a Valentine Val-entine Party. Their room mothers, moth-ers, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Mayer, brought a nice treat. The class thanked them for the treat. They have been learning learn-ing about Abraham Lincoln. They think he was a good, . kind, brave man. They are going to learn about George Washington this week. The second grade visited the post office on the 15th. Mr. Baxter told them about canceling cancel-ing stamps and sorting outgoing outgo-ing mail. Mr. Junior Kirk told about the many different kinds of stamps the post office sells. Mr. Bill Kirk told about handling han-dling the incoming mail. The class learned about zip code tiumbers, lack-stamping insufficient insuf-ficient postage, and many other oth-er interesting things. The fourth graders are studying stud-ying about people who live on large ranges in the Pampas in Argentina. Mr. Fisher's class has been studying about states. They have been writing letters to the states of their choice. The sixth grade is working on science projects. Mrs. Moore's class has planted plant-ed some seeds. They are watching them grow. NOTICE TO WATER USERS Notice is hereby given that Mrs. Myrtle Marquardson, El-sinore, El-sinore, Utah, has filed a request re-quest for extension of time from the State Engineer to make and submit Proof of Appropriation Ap-propriation under Application No. 20763 (71-2504), covering ,25 sec.-ft. of water to be diverted di-verted from Sego Lily Spring in Beaver County, Utah, to be used for miscellaneous purposes. pur-poses. It is represented that the springs have been cleaned every ev-ery year for drinking and domestic do-mestic use. Because of a forest for-est fire destroying the work -that had been completed, additional addi-tional time is necessary to complete com-plete this project and submit Proof of Appropriation. Protests resisting the granting grant-ing of said request with reasons reas-ons therefor, must be submitted submit-ted in duplicate and filed with the State Engineer, 442 State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, on or before April 1, 1967. A hearing will be held on this request before the State Engineer at 9:00 a. m., Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 19, 1967, at the County Courthouse in Beaver, Utah.
