Show Mrs. Vcrnetta Griff'ths, Salt Lake, has been vinsiting for a few days with h'ir aunt, Bessie Pearson and Ella Wood and an uncle. Clarence and Wanda Corbridge. Gary and April Elmer, Salt Lake, were here for a few days v's t with parents, Ruben and Emily Dotson. Gladys Myers has gone to Kearns for a visit and to be with her daughter-in-law while she underwent surgery in a Salt Lake hospital. Tom and Joan Makin and family, Syracuse, and Dee and Gaye Grimm, Granger, spent the weekend visiting their dad, Howard Pryor. Leslie and Kaye Gray and family. Las Vegas, have been here visiting with their parents, Delmar and Ilene Gray, for a few days. Delmar and Ilene Gray attended at-tended the wrestlers tournament tourna-ment in Panguitch on Friday Their grandson, Russel Yard-Ity, Yard-Ity, Milford, participated in the events. Mr. and Mrs. Duard Evan; visited one day during the week with Clarence and Wanda Corbridge. Cor-bridge. Darrel and Lois Crystal, Las Vegas, weie weekend guests of their parents, Arshal and Lela Evans. Doug and Ccllpen Farnow. Las Vegas, visited over the weekend with their mother Nettie Myers, who was released during the week from the Beaver Beav-er hospital where she was sick with pneumonia. Sheral and Lelia Carter, and Vance and Connie Marshall motored mo-tored to American Fork to attend at-tend the wedding of a nephew, a son of Val and Rhonda Marshall. Marsh-all. Also going were Clauss and Melba Marshall and two grandchildren. grand-children. They went on to Salt Lake to visit with Melba's mother. mo-ther. Gene and Gladys Pitchforth stopped over the weekend to visit with Goldie and Hilda Marshall. They were on then-way then-way back to Murray from Calif, where they had been visiting was "Lollipops and Roses", sung by the Minersville girls. Two groups of Primary girls held a Daddy Dinner Date night Wednesday evening. Table decorations dec-orations were Western Style with favors of little red barns. The meal was fried chicken, salad, rolls and home made ice cream. Games were played and square dancing was enjoyed afterwards by the girls and their daddies. Milton and Reva Albrecht and Jill were in Salt Lake over the weekend on business. Neal and Helen Davis announce an-nounce the birth of a granddaughter grand-daughter born Feb. 22 to Mr and Mrs. Clark Davis, Pleasant Grove. The little Miss weighed 7y2 pounds. Delmar and Ilene Gray had their children Leslie and Kaye Gray and family, Las Vegas, Kenneth and Sherrie Gray and family, Logan; and Joe and Verlene Yardley and family, Milford, as dinner guests Sunday. During the week, visitors of the Vern Wood family were Florence's sisters and brother Mrs. Katherine Crosby, St George; Mrs. Patricia Curtis and son, Granger, and Gene and Gladys Pitchforth, Murray. Don Heslington, Provo came Sunday for a weeks visit to help take care of his fathei Aif Heslington, who is recovering recover-ing from a broken hip. The Minersville girls volley ball team, played Beaver 2nd Ward Saturday morning with Minersville winning. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Short of Clarkston, Wash, was here during dur-ing the week on business. Pie Garrett and daughters ol Delta visited Sunday with Newell New-ell and Theo Marshall. David and Madalyn Gale and sons. Cedar City, spent Sunday with their parents, Thurman and Irma Eyre. Floyd and Beulah Wood were in Kearns during the week Visiting with Grant and Ruth Wood and family. Ruth was released from the hospital following fol-lowing surgery. Janette Hollingshead celebrated celebrat-ed her 12th birthday Tuesday with a party for her classmates She is a daughter of Marshal; and Nellie Hollingshead. Michelle Myers and Jolyn Dctson had a surprise birthday party for Katie Hollingshead She was 15 years old. The party was held at Michelle's home Friday evening. Bryan Wood had a birthday party Monday afternoon with his classma'es invited. He was 7 years old and is the son of Vern and Florence Wood. Theo Marshall and Margie Marshall were in Delta on Monday Mon-day visiting and doing some shopping. The speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday night were Paula Marshall, Bart Hollingshead Hollings-head and Pres. Paul K. Nielson. Bre.nt Marshall, son of Jeff Marshall, was advanced to a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood. Priest-hood. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ward-rope Ward-rope of Superior, Wyo. visited over the weekend with their daughter, Keith and LaNell Dotson and family. Pincchle was held Monday night at the home of Marybelle Eyre. Prizes were. won by Florence Flor-ence Wood, Carla Eyre and Jean Carter. Delicious lunch was served by the hostess to the above and to Jeanne Eyre, Dona Carter, Eleanor Marshall, Vie Marshall, Dorothy Wood, Edith Marshall, Merle Gillins and Betty Marshall. Neal and Margaret Carter and family, Cedar City, and Dick and Sue Davis, Beaver were Sunday guests of Newel and Vera Carter. 'Buster' and Nona Larson Salt Lake, called on their brothers, bro-thers, Darwin and Vivian Marshall Mar-shall and Newell and Thee Marshall, for a short visit Monday. Mon-day. Rachel Eyre, Vella Stephenson, Stephen-son, Lettie Gibson and Daisy Gillins motored to Ogden o.n Friday to visit with Norman Gillins. Rachel and Vella will stay for a week to help care for him. Lettie and Daisy returned re-turned home Saturady evening Darwin and Vivian Marshal and Marcine and Sylva Davis were in St. George Saturday visiting with Russell and Eva Guymon. Ruben and Emily Dotson anc! Jolyn enjoyed Sunday dinner in Beaver with Nick and Col leen Dotson, the occasion being Emily's birthday. Vernon and Remerse Wilson Bakersfield, surprised their mother, mo-ther, Armina Banks, with a visit vis-it over the weekend. Don and Ivadell Hutchinson spent the weeekend in Las Vegas visiting friends. The Rose Prom held Saturday Satur-day night was attended by a large crowd, the floor show with a number from each ward was outstanding and was enjoyed en-joyed by everyone. The theme |
