Show 'CHARLIE BROWN' YOU'RE GREAT Several new talents were discovered dis-covered in the magnificent pro- duction of "Your A God Man, Charlie Brown." The musical which was adapted from the comic strip character "Peanuts" was played before a standing room only audience, who raved about the performance of Ken Yardley, who besides exercising his beautiful voice, showed a flair for dancing and comedy. Leila Pipher showed tremendous tremen-dous range for one so ycung. The two will likely be seen again in variety shows and talent tal-ent contests during this Centennial Cen-tennial year. Steve Workman in the part of Charlie Brown was his usual dependable, steady self. Charlie couldn't have been better cast. Kim Nielson as Linus, Doug Mayer as Schroeder and Nellie Davis as Patty all gave stellar performances, and with all of them they have put school plays in the top category of fine entertainment en-tertainment in Milford. No small part of this sucees goes to Music Director Max Herzog and Play Director, Robert B. Andrus. Student Directors Kevin Brox and Patty Hiatt and -of course all of those behind the scenes helpers. It was one fine show. |
