M Ms - Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams fete 50th Anniversary GOLDEN WEDDING CELEBRATED IN FARMINGTON Mr and Mrs. Lester Williams were' honored at a 50th anniversary anni-versary open house on April 8th by their children at the home of their daughter Linda Sonzini in Farmington, Utah. About 75 guests were present including relatives and friends. Brothers and sisters of the couple attending the party were Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Williams, Wil-liams, Twin Falls, Idaho., Calvin Cal-vin and Viola Jewkes of Ken-nelsworth, Ken-nelsworth, Utah, Mr. a.nd Mrs. Valjean Williams, Orem, Utah, Mrs. Amelia Brown, Provo, Mrs. Olivette Jensen, Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Broad-bent' Broad-bent' of Granger and Mrs. Mary Williams and son DuWayne of Milford. Four of their six children attended, at-tended, including Mr. and Mrs. Kent Kinross, Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardy, Magna; Mr. and Mrs. Max Williams of Hunter, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Sozini, Farmington. Nineteen of the couple's twenty-four grandchildren attended at-tended and six of their seven great-grandchildren including Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hardy and baby daughter came all the way from California where he is stationed in the U.S. Navy to surprise his grandparents. They were presented a beautiful beau-tiful wedding cake, decorated in white and gold with an ornamented or-namented "50" on top. To add sentiment to the cake, one of their grandchildren, Mr. Ronald Ron-ald Hardy, who is becoming a baker for a store in the Utah area, made and decorated the cake. Besides wedding cake, the guests were served ice cream, gold and white mints, lemon and lime punch. Their .napkins were engraved in gold with Lester and Evon, Golden Wedding Wed-ding Anniversary. Mrs. Williams was presented a corsage of a white orchid, backed with gold and Mr. Williams Wil-liams received a white carnation. carna-tion. A good time as had by all. |
