Show Will ie Acklin of Tooele is home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Aeklin, for a weeks vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Paid and baby are moving into th.i Ron Williams home this week. Th2 Junior Old Timers steak fry was held Saturday night at Ranch Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Moore returned re-turned last week from Lake Mead where they spent four days fishing. They reported the 1'ishi.ng as slow. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Moore lufl Monday for Lamar, Colo., where they plan to visit their daughter, who is expecting a new baby, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loss and Jamie. Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Schaidt announce the birth of their new granddaughter, Krystal Ellen Walker, born April 22 to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Walker of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Edith Grimshaw is in Salt Lake at the LDS Hospital, she will undergo heart surgery on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Hollings- hcad's baby has been in the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City for medical treatment for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Long traveled to Dallas, Texas on April 10th where Mr. Long attended at-tended a board meeting for WorldCom. They stopped in Salt Lake for two days, then returned to Milford on April 15th. Kevin Long, son of Mr. a.nd Mrs. Keith Long, was here this past weekend for the Junior Prom. Mrs. Sam Cline and Mrs. Emma Em-ma Smith were co-hostesses for the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Sam Cline. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tom Acklin this weekend were, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Willard of Sana Paula, Calif, and John McAdn of North Hollywood, Calif. Mr. ani Mrs. Arden Fowles and two children and Mrs. Fowles' mother, Mrs. . Kimmel of Las Vegas, were visiting Arden's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D A. Fowles, over the weekend. Arden and Doug Fowles plan to spend this next weekend in Milford with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Fowles. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter have been in Salt Lake this week visiting their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mclntyre and family. Linda Acklin was here visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Acklin, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gil McGinn motored mo-tored to Salt Lake on Tuesday with their son Tom. Tom will leave from Salt Lake Airport for Grand Forks, N. D. Mrs. Neloise Schow and Mrs. Bonnie Hardy motored to Lehi on Tuesday to attend the funeral funer-al of Ray Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin Good-win was the father of Mrs. Karen Kar-en Goodwin Brower, formerly of Milford. Bob Tomsik entered a hospital hospi-tal in Salt Lake City Thursday morning for tests and a checkup. check-up. Mrs. Naomi Hughes received word Monday morning of the birth of a great-granddaughter Christi Ann born to Lt. and Mrs Scott Tolman (Linda Johnson) at Ft. Bragg, No. Car. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Logan. Visitors of Mrs. Naomi Hughes Hugh-es over the weekend were Connie Con-nie and Lynnette Hughes from BYU at Provo and Boyd Hughes Hugh-es from USU at Logan and their friend Denise Wallace, also Provo. Pro-vo. Mrs. Rosalie E. Cook of South Milford served a lovely dinner to her parents, Mr. a.nd Mrs. O. C. Koch, her sister, Mrs. Rozetta Handley, Mr. and Mrs. Hamp Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Bart Steely. The afternoon was spent visiting and discussing current events and the weather which was real nice. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rose spent last week in Salt Lake City with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rose, and Mrs. Rose's sister, Mr. and Mrs. T.nmnnt Thornock and family. Visitors Sunday at the Thur-Tand Thur-Tand D. Sly home were Mr. and Mrs. Lynal Robinson and son and Mrs. LaVern Dobrusky of Parowan. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Nichols, received word of the birth of a new granddaughter, granddaugh-ter, Melanie, born March 28 in Kingston, Jamaica to Blaine and Cathy Nichols of Montego, Bay, Jamaica. She joins a brother, bro-ther, Max, and a sister, Danise, at home. Max, Teri and Christopher Nichols brought their little girl Lisa Dawn to Milford to get acquainted with her grandparents, grandpar-ents, aunts, and uncles. Other visitors here Sunday when she was blessed by her grandfather, Shirley W. Nichols, were Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Nichols and Travis Tra-vis of Cedar City, Mark of Milford, Mil-ford, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shore of Salt Lake City, great-grandmother, Mary Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Al Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Winn and grandfather, Mr. Melvin Shields, all of Tooele and Dorothy Newdigate of Milford. Mil-ford. Her grandmother Shields was ill and could .not attend. Brent and Becky Baxter and daughter Dana and Curtis Baxter Bax-ter motored to Richfield on Sunday to visit 'friends, Rev. and Mrs. Medford Hutson and family. |
