Show SCHOOL NOW HAS 'COAT OF ARMS' In the very early days of England and ' Europe, during the time of the Crusaders, knights all over England and Europe carried shields, with emblems on them to identify each one of them from other knights. Each knight chose his own emblem for different reasons, reas-ons, such as a lion for bravery, or a leopard for .watchfulness, and many other symbols. In later years, after the knights, the distinguished families of England and Europe had a "Coat of Arms" painted on the doors of their dwellings. Still later, different countries had a "Coat of Arms." The well-known well-known Eagle represents the United States. Milford High has planned and designed a "Coat of Arms" which has been painted on the door leading from the student lounge to the auditorium. This is a symbol that should be treated with the utmost respect. re-spect. This "Coat of Arms" represents the whole school and what it stands for. It is a proud symbol, and will represent repre-sent the School of Milford High for years to come! |
