Show CSU Gets Grant from Science Foundation Official word has been received re-ceived at College of Southern Utah Friday, that the National Science Foundation has awarded awar-ded a grant of $8,660, for a course for 20 high school or junior high school teachers of general science. The year long program will be taught on the CSU campus as a joint venture between the Cedar City insit-tution insit-tution and Utah State University Univer-sity Residence Center, according accord-ing to Dr. Royden C. Braith-waite. Braith-waite. The training will be granted to successful candidates who are already teaching in the general science area. The course will carry 9 graduate hours credit and the Foundation Foun-dation will pay all tuition, travel and book allowances to scholarship winners. The program will be carried forth on Saturdays during the regular school year and will consist of lectures, demonstrations demonstra-tions and laboratory work under un-der the direction of CSU staff member Dr. Conrad Hatch, Co-Chairman of the Division of Physical Science.
