Show BOY PINNED UNDER TRACTOR; GETS BRUISES Two Milford youths were pinned beneath a 2-ton tractor trac-tor last Saturday, one of them for more than an hour, when the vehicle hit a soft shoulder and dropped 15 feet into a wash. Terry Wiseman, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wiseman, was driving the tractor south on a county road just south of the state road "T" corner, with George Lee Campeau, 11, as a passenger. The road had recently been graded, and as ycung Wiseman kept the vehicle ve-hicle on the right side of the road, so as not to be a hazard to auto traffic, the front wheel hit newly spread gravel that did not have solid botom, and the tractor dropped into the wash, wheels up, pinning both boys underneath. Terry was able to extricate himself and ran a half-mile to the HG Barnes ranch for help. Receiving no answer to his knock, he went inside and telephoned Lyle Wiseman, owner of the tractor, who sent out a call for assisantce and rushed to the accident scene. After about an hour of digging dig-ging with a shovel, clipping entangled barbed wire, and clawing dirt with his hands, Lyle was able to free the trapped boy, George Lee suffered only multiple bruises, but was hospitalized hos-pitalized overnight for observation. |
