Show Elmer Hollingshead Dies of Wreck Injuries John Elmer Hollingshead, 64, brother of James Hollingshead of Milford, was fatally injured Tuesday, Tues-day, Aug. 2, in a car accident near" Leamington on U-132. The car, driven by Mr. Hol-lingshead's Hol-lingshead's stepdaughter, Miss Helen K. Petersen, was traveling travel-ing west when the right front tire on the vehicle apparently blew out. Miss Petersen lost control con-trol of the car and it careened into the bank of a wash, killing Mr. Hollingshead and seriously injuring Miss Petersen. Suffering Suffer-ing a broken right foot, broken right kneecap, bruises and lacerations, lacer-ations, she crawled 100 feet back to the highway to secure assistance. assist-ance. Elmer Hollingshead, a resident of Delta for 30 years, was born April 15, 1896, at Panaca, Nev., a son of John Franklin and Ida Lee Hollingshead. His early life was spent in Nevada and he moved to Delta in 1920. He was employed by .the Millard County Road Dept. He was a member of the LDS Church. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in Delta, August 5. |
