Show BYU PRESS WORKSHOP DRAWS STUDENTS FROM COUNTY Two Milford High School students stu-dents arrived in Provo Monday to begin work in Brigham Young University's Uni-versity's High School Press Workshop. Work-shop. Going from Milford were Margaret Ann Whittaker and Kay Marie Root. Miss Whittaker will be editor of the yearbook this coming school year, and Miss Root editor of the school newspaper. The students are living on the BYU campus for the week and will spend their time learning to develop de-velop skills to publish better high school publications this coming school year. More than 110 students from five states are represented in this 4th annual workshop enrollment and more than 25 teachers will handle various classes and work sessions during the week. The workshop is divided into four sections: yearbooks, advertising, advertis-ing, printed newspapers, and mimeographed mim-eographed newspapers. During the week, the students will have helped edit and publish a daily mimeographed mimeo-graphed paper and a printed paper and a yearbook section on the final day of the workshop week. Photography Pho-tography also will be studied by most students. |
