Show Milford School Nears Completion TILE WORK NOT ACCEPTED; MAY DELAY MOVE TO NEW BUILDING Work on the new Milford Elementary Ele-mentary school is nearing completion, comple-tion, but refusal to accept some of the interior tile work may delay completion of the building in time for students to start classes in the now school. Representatives of the State Building Board met with the general gen-eral contractor and the architect early this week and inspected the tile work in restrooms and corridors, corri-dors, pointing out defective tile and inferior yorkmanship. Arrangements Ar-rangements are being made by the subcontractor to replace the unacceptable unac-ceptable tile work. If new tile is available at the factory, only a few days' delay will result, but it is possible that new tile may not be available in less than five or six weeks. After the wall tile has been replaced, re-placed, according to Jack Allred of Mitchell & Allred, general contractors, con-tractors, floor tile yill be laid and final "finishing touches" completed. |
