Show Utah Vet Loan Payments Set Record Utah veterans with GI home loans have set and continue to set a remarkable record of paying off home mortgage debts, William W. McBride, manager of the VA Regional Re-gional Office, in Salt Lake, said today. Mr. McBride disclosed that out of a total of 95,000 World War II and Korean Conflict veterans in Utah, GI home loans had been made by 24,388 since the program was launched in December, 1944. Of that total number of home mortgage loans guaranteed, 4676 have been paid in full by the veteran vet-eran borrowers, he said. He added that the VA had paid claims on only 35 out of all of these loans .guaranteed in Utah. These figures are based on a study made by VA including all loans made through August, 1958. |
