Notes : t j By Julie Ann Farrer INITIATION HELD Last Friday the Juniors at BHS initialed the Sophomores officially into the senior high school. This year the theme of the initi-. ation was to be more "Safe and Sane." The actual initiation was held only in the morning, during which a fine assembly was given by the sophomores to the student body. Beaver High welcomes the Class of '61 to the senior high student .body aid hopes that they will keep the standaiOs of the school as high as possible BHS SCORES TWO WIN8 In two practice basketball games last week end, Beaver scored impressive im-pressive wins for the school. Friday night, Beaver met Lincoln Lin-coln High School from Panaca, Nev and won a close one, 49 to 47. Saturday night the Beaver team played Bryce Valley High from Tropic. This game showed the Beavers to be the superior team and they won by a large margin. PUBLIC INVITED TO CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The Dramatic Club is presenting present-ing their Christmas Program on Friday, Dec. 12, in the Beaver High auditorium. The club has two one-act plays to be presented that night. The casts of each of the plays have been practicing and rehearsing for the past three weeks and it is expected that the evening's entertainment enter-tainment will be well worth while. The public is invited and urged to attend. There will be no charge for this program. SECOND SCHOOL PLAY TO BE PRESENTED Neal Park, director of the BHS Speech Department, is planning to present another school play in January. "Thunder on Sycamore Street" has been chosen for production. pro-duction. Tryouts were held last week for this three-act play and the following follow-ing students were chosen to be members of the cast: Billy Twit-chell, Twit-chell, Joyce Joseph, Jack Heppler, Joe Murdock, Linda Carter, Ronnie Ron-nie Twedt, Ellis Taylor, Lynn Smith, Alice White, Clair Baldwin, Bald-win, Kaye Terry, Julie Ann Farrer, Far-rer, Jeannie Smith, Judy Willden, Wayne Smith, Jane Gray, and Cecelia Ce-celia Patterson. |
