Show Beaver Lights Main Street; Prepares to Welcome Santa Claus Friday the Beaver City employes em-ployes completed stringing of the colored Christmas lights across Main Street, in preparation for the Christmas festivities and the arrival ar-rival Saturday of Santa Claus. The Beaver Jaycees announced that Santa will arrive downtown about 1 p. m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and while in Beaver will make his headquarters in the former Mar-' tell's Store north of the Firmage Theatre. The jolly old gent will have a bag of candy for each child, and will bring a free matinee for all children, starting at 1:45. Santa will be in town from 1 o'clock to 6 o'clock, and every child will have a chance to see and taut with ham. The Jaycees, sponsors of Santa's visit, suggested that parents of very small children wait until the matinee starts, when the older children will be attending the free movie and the smaller children will have a better opportunity to visit Santa. Residents are urged to add a colorful display to their homes and yards, and participate in the Xmas Home Lighting and Decorating Contest. |
