Show Bekin Truck Loses Right of Way Contest With Beaver Bovine A cow belonging to Albert T. Smith of Beaver strolled nonchalantly non-chalantly onto Highway 91 about 1 a. m. Thursday, two miles south of Beaver, directly into the path of a Bekins Vanline truck-trailer. Approaching traffic kept the truck driver from avoiding the cow, and after the impact the truck swerved across the hk'tway, through a borrow bor-row pit aiiil fence into the Wood-row Wood-row Griffiths alfalfa field- The two trailers, t;,...-d onto their side, were badly damaged, and although the tractor stayed upright it also suffered heavy damage. The driver, Orren Hall of Salt Lake, escaped serious injury. Parson's Utoco Service tow truck righted the trailers and Mr. Parsons repaired the tractor suf-ficently suf-ficently to continue the run to Salt Lake. (P. S. The cow died). |
