Show Grace M. Jones Funeral services were held Saturday Sat-urday afternoon in the Beaver Second Ward Chapel for Grace M. Jones, 74, who died Wednesday in the Iron County Hospital. Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 20, 1884, in Beaver, to Walter and Catherine Curtis Muir. She attended at-tended school at the Murdock Academy. She married James Jones in Beaver June 1, 1921. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple Dec. 28, 1957. Mrs. Jones was a Sunday School teacher for 20 years, a Primary teacher for 26 years, and Relief Society teacher for many years. She also held offices in the American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Walt Jones and Mrs. Karl (Helen) Hutchinson of Beaver, Bea-ver, and Tom Jones, Salt Lake; two granddaughters, and two brothers, Tom and Edward Muir of Beaver. The services were conducted by Bishop Chase Murdock. Clara Carter Car-ter played the prelude and post-lude post-lude organ music. The prayer at the home was by Walter Winkleman of Provo, and Taylor Miller of Parowan offered the invocation. Musical numbers were a vocal duet by Hal and Nell Smith, a number by a mixed quartet, quar-tet, Esta Cox, Anona Swindle-hurst, Swindle-hurst, Kent Morgan and Milo Baker, and another duet by Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Swindlehurst. Speakers were Evelyn Warby, Arlo Messinger and Allen C. Reynolds. Rey-nolds. L. M. Burt pronounced the benediction and the grave in v Mountain View Cemetery was ded icated by Richard Jones. Pallbearers were Cecil Muir, Leon Jones, Sam Johnson, Rex Hutchinson and Dave Beverly. |
