Show 'Salome' and 'Star of Norway' Scheduled For U of U Festival Two roles that made entertainment enter-tainment history, and the stars who played them, are coming to the stage of the University o'f Utah's, starlit stadium bowl in July. The University of Utah Summer Sum-mer Festival will present two A f V ii i ,tf s , , , -, ' 1 I ' r t , , V Irra Petina ambitious productions starring Broadway, Metropolitan Opera and television artists. "Song of Norway," popular musical drawn from the life and music of composer Edvard Grieg, will run July 6 and 8 thru 13. "Salome," a powerful Richard Strauss opera, will play July 17, 19 and 20. In the first production, Irra Petina will star as the Countess. It is the same role in which she scored a smashing personal triumph in her Broadway debut. de-but. Star of the NBC Opera Company, Miss Malbin played Salome in the only nationwide na-tionwide telecast that has been done of this modern and challenging chal-lenging Strauss opera. Single reserved seats are priced at $3.50 and $2; season price (both shows) is $5.50 and $3.00. General admission seats are $1.25 for a single show or $2 for both.
