LEGION BASEBALL LOSES GROUND IN DISTRICT 7 Withdrawals from the league and forfeitures of games in the American Legion Junior Baseball Base-ball league, taking in all 11 towns in District 7, indicates that steps should be taken to increase interest of the players, or revise' the schedule. With most eligible boys in the "summer "sum-mer work" class, it is difficult for some communities to field a full-strength team when games are scheduled on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week. The Milford team forfeited a game last week because of a shortage of players, Beaver agreed to postponement of one game and won another by default, de-fault, and Panguitch is reported to have withdrawn from the league. In last week's games, Beaver defeated Milford 19-4, with Gary Pickard pitching, and lost to Cedar City, 6-2, with Dick Murdock as the pitcher. Milford is scheduled to play at Beaver, at 3 p. m. Saturday. MILFORD SEVIER LEAGUERS DROP RICHFIELD FEATURE Milford lost to Richfield, 9-2, at Richfield last Sunday, in a game that was touted as ''picking ''pick-ing the winner" of the league. D. Jorgenson, Richfield chuck-er, chuck-er, allowed the Milford batters only three hits.
