Show ALL STREETS IN CITY OF MILFORD ARE NOW PAVED All streets in Milford have now been paved, and Milford is believed to be the only city in Utah with a paved street in . front of every residence in the community. Oiling of the thoroughfares was finished last Thursday, when the final truckload of oil was spread over gravel on West 600 South street, but city employes em-ployes have continued minor clean up and trim work, and Thursday were scheduled to complete rolling of the new oil. City Councilmen pointed out that about 8V2 or 9 miles of paving undertaken under the present administration, added to the 2Vz or 3 miles of streets previously pre-viously paved, now gives- Milford Mil-ford more than HVz miles of hard-surfaced streets. The work undertaken by the present administration ad-ministration has peen completed complet-ed at a total cost of $40,650, including city street tax money, B and C funds received from the state, and the one-shot assessment as-sessment of $36 for each lot owner. If the work had been done under contract, it is estimated that it would have cost the Milford taxpayers $135,500. City officials emphasized that the street oiling is now completed, com-pleted, and paid for in full, with no increase in taxes and no indebtedness incurred because be-cause of the street oiling program. |
