Show BEAVER Personal Mention Mr. and Mrs. Clark Johnson o'f Winnemucca, Nev., are rejoicing re-joicing over the birth o'f a IVi lb son, June 25. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson, John-son, Adamsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Orson Tate, Cedar City. Mrs. Thora Beeson has received re-ceived word that her mother, Mrs. Florence Rich, Wellington, j suffered a stroke and is con-I con-I fined to the Price hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Affleck and -children, Richard and Susan, Su-san, spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cartwright. Mrs. Billie Foreman, Fore-man, Las Vegas, also spent the week end with the Cartwrights. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ash-worth Ash-worth were very pleased to learn that their granddaughter Brenda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo White, recently received re-ceived the Outstanding Music Award trophy in her school at Compton, Calif. She was one of 500 competitors. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Leon Paice over the week end were Mrs. Paice's sister Char-lene, Char-lene, and Norma Hoskins, also Joe Simms and Dean Pearce, all of Mercury, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum L. Lee were pleased to have her sister, Eileen Hockstrasser of San Bernardino, Ber-nardino, Calif., visit them this week. While here Mrs. Hockstrasser Hock-strasser and the Lees spent some time in Richfield and El-sinore El-sinore visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Evelyn Andrews of San Francisco spent several days last week with her mother, Mrs- Dorothy Williams, and sister sis-ter Dorothy. She has also been in Denver, Colo., where she visited a son. Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm have sold their home to Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Eyre. The Malcolms left Thursday for Las Vegas, where they will make their home. Paul Larson of Salt Lake spent several days last week with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Larson. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stephenson Stephen-son of Cedar City and a brother, broth-er, Mark Stephenson of Los Angeles, An-geles, were guests of Mrs. Otto Schwab Friday and attended the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. James S. Boyce. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hutchinson Sunday were Mr. and Mrs- Rex Hutchinson and children of Kanosh. |
