Show BEAVER CHURCH NEWS Beaver Third Ward Sacra ment meeting Feb. 3 was presided pre-sided over and conducted by Bishop Kerksiek. Three babies were blessed. Four Primary boys and girls were graduated. The lesson was by Maxine Fcthc-ringham, assisted by Mima Erickson, An- gie Terry and Carol Carter. ! The First Ward meeting was conducted by Bishop Leroy Har-l Har-l is Sunday evening, with the tthiee wirds present. Elder j Jess Walker, recently returned from the Swedish mission, was the speaker. He also showed interesting slides of the Swbs Temple and other points of interest. in-terest. I Sunday evening services in the Second Ward were conducted conduct-ed by Clark Smith, and presided presid-ed over by Bishop Chase H. Murdoek. Ronald Edwards, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Edwards, and Richard Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thurland Joseph, were made teachers, with the following follow-ing becoming members of the t Church: Sue Murdoek, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs- Sumn r Murdoek; Marylin Kate, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bezan-son; Bezan-son; Mrs. Erma K. Heppler, and Donald Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Harris. John Hal Burt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Burt, and Jaeklin Davis,' daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, were blessed. , The First Vard Primary held their Daddy Date party Feb. 2nd in the First-Third Ward recreation recre-ation hall, under direction of Alice Lund. Decorations followed fol-lowed the Valentne motif. Twenty girls and 17 fathers enjoyed the party, and a plate lunch. The Relief Society of the Second Ward met Tuesday, with President Lily Terry presiding and Iretta Morris conducting the social science lesson. "The Latter-day Saint Family Life" was given by Kathy Blackham. Drama Night for the Third Ward Mutual was held Teusday, Jan. 29, under direction of Virginia Vir-ginia Low. "Monument," was presented by Mary Yardley, John Murdoek, Mur-doek, Janice Hopkins and Richard Rich-ard Swindlehurst. "Bird on Nellie's Hat" was presented by the Junior Gleaner Glean-er girls, Jolene Lessing, Janet Carter, DyAnn Davis, Evalyn Riley, Arliijg Morgan, Marylin Roberts, Barbara Ward and Mabel Orton . The First-Third Ward MIA Special Interest class enjoyed a fireside chat after services Sunday Sun-day evening. Jess Walker, returned re-turned missionary from Switzerland, Swit-zerland, showed very interesting interest-ing pictures of the new temple in Bjorn, and the Swiss country and other European countries. The Third Ward claas was invited in-vited to hear Mr. Walker's interesting in-teresting talk. The three Primary classes, Larks, Bluebirds and Seagulls, held their Daddy Date party Wednesday in the First-Third Ward chapel. Games were directed di-rected by Joyce Famsworth. Buttonhole corsages made by the girls were presented to their fathers. Tables were decorated with snowmen, snowf lakes, and miniature snowmen as favors. ' Refreshments were served to about 50 people. Teachers of the three groups are Carol Kes-ler, Kes-ler, LaVern Bradshaw and Viola Yardlr.y. Delia Rolli ns is room mother. |
