We feel that we have the nucleus of a fine journalistic organization, one that is looking forward to a year of challenges and accurate reporting of the issues. Twice a week, as you take the Signpost in hand, you will find a myriad of events that will grace these pages. Hopefully, some articles will inform you, others will entertain you, and a few might possibly bore you. But, always, you will find enlightenment in one form or another, be it in the news section, artsentertainment pages, sports articles, advertisement, editorial columns or weekly comic strip there should be something available for everyone. For your information, there are several features about the Signpost we would like to draw your attention to because they are included for your benefit. Campus Update appears in each issue and is dedicated to informing the campus about what is happening with the many departments and organizations at Weber. Take advantage of this opportunity to advertise activities within your organization at no cost. Remember, it is a semi-weekly update and will spotlight those items that appear within that weekly time span. News BriefsSports Briefs cover items of interest that otherwise might not appear in a lengthier article, due to limited space. It updates the campus awareness level by spotlighting those persons and organizations that have earned special awards or other recognition. Advertising DisplayClassifieds serve a dual purpose. They help to support the budget of the Signpost and also give exposure to the public and campus business needs. Special rates are available to students and campus organizations, and it would be to your advantage to check them out. You will get the results you need through our advertising staff. Production, headed by Emilie Bean and her staff, design those ads not already set by the purchasing company or individual.
