Show RESCUED FROM FILIPINOS. Two Americans Who Were Prisoners Safe Once More. Manila, Dec. 16. General Young reports re-ports the rescue of Brutne, of the Nevada Ne-vada regiment, and Edwards, of tha gunboat Yorktown, who hav been held prisoners by tha Filipinos. General Gen-eral Tino, conveying the American prisoners north, is hotly pursued. Aguinaldo is a fugitive in the mountains, moun-tains, his body guard having been destroyed de-stroyed and Gregerio del Pilar killed. General Concepcion has surrendered. The Lepanto province has bean cleared of insurgents. The navy cooperated co-operated with the army on the west eoast. Two thousand eight hundred released Spanish prisoners are coming to Manila. |
