Show SANTA CT-ARA. We expect to have a good time on New Year's clay. Jacob Gubler is here on a visit from the White Biver country. Joseph Graf has returned home from Troche, He reports the weather exceedingly ex-ceedingly cold in that section of country. ; Christmas was celebrated as follows: Serenade all night Christmas Eve. Christmas morning serenading by the brass and string bauds. At 10 a. m. an entertainment consisting of songs, recitations, etc. In the afternoon a game of baseball, married vs. single men, the married men winning by two tallies; also some horse races. The day's amusements wound up with a grand ball at night. On Tuesday evening eve-ning we had another splendid enter-'tauinieiit, enter-'tauinieiit, consisting of dialogs, music, etc. Some of the Washington brethren and families were over to celebrate, as were also some from Mesquite. Mes-quite. There will be another dance tomorrow night, the 29th. |
