Show Too late for last issue. The new Huntsman mine is said to go $S gold and 10 per cent copper. Very useful to this place is a splendid splen-did new clock, just placed in our school house. Park Chidester and wife of this place start today, the 23rd inst., for their new home at Mesquite, Nevada. Elders Franklin T. Holt and Arthur Bunker have returned from filling an honorable mission in the Southern States. They were met at Modena on the 21st inst. by Bishop Holt and wife, arriving here the next day. Our citizens citi-zens welcomed the missionaries with a public dinner at the meeting house and a dance in the evening. A good program pro-gram was rendered, among the attractive attrac-tive features of which were, a song by the missionaries entitled "There's None Like Mother," a song by the two lady visitors from the Indian reservation, reserv-ation, a song composed for the occasion by Edwin Jones, a piece of poetry composed by William Bunker, and the remarks of the two missionaries. Bishop Bunker who is here to meet his 1 son, enjoyed the exercises.- |
