Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter Allen Maloney was called into service from here in Uncle Sam's Army, but due to his being absent at the sheep herd until the night before he had to leave, Virgin was unable to give a farewell party for him. The town wishes him success suc-cess and promises him a welcome return when the war is over. Mrs. Howard Whitehead and small daughter of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Horace Cornelius and son of Sparks, Nev., are here visiting vis-iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cornelius. Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Maloney and family have moved to Boulder City, to make their home, as he has employment there. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schofield of Las Vegas were visiting at the home of her father, Sylvester Earl on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lawr-ence Marker and son, Edwin of Cedar City, were also Sunday, visitors vis-itors at the home of her father. Leslie Wilcox is confined to his home with sciatic rheumatism in his leg and hip. Mrs. Evan Lee was taken to the Cedar City hospital for x-ray and treatment before undergoing an operation. Her daughter, Mrs. Thora Spendlove is assisting her father with the service station and lunch counter during her sickness. Grant Cornelius spent a short tjw visiting his parents, Monday, on leave from his work at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Tulle, engineer for the magnesium mine at Smyth's mountain are making their headquarters head-quarters at Camp Mahawlt, |
