Show Ross Hardy Named Fellow At Convention of Utah Academy of Arts, Sciences Mr. Ross Hardy, head of the biology division of the Dixie college, col-lege, received the distinct honor of being named a fellow in the Utah Academy of Arts and Sciences at the convention held last weekend week-end in Salt Lake City. This honor comes as a result of outstanding contributions to the biological world by Mr. Hardy. He has added many new specimens in plant and animal life to the Dixie college collection, and has the distinction dis-tinction of finding for the first time in Utah some species of animals. ani-mals. Mr. Hardy was the only person to receive this honor this year and only one other instructor of the junior college level has ever achieved this distinction and that is Pres. H. Aldous Dixon of Weber college. Edna Snow, former Dixie student, and now of the B. Y. U., has also received this honor, being be-ing the only woman to ever do so. Mr. Hardy is also a frequent contributor to biological literature, not only in Utah, but in national publications. |
