Show Dance Tonight To Start Off Lions 10th Annual Rodeo Crowds Arriving Already For Two-Day Fete; Beauty Parade Sat. Night The stage is all set for the St. George Lions' 10th annual Roundup Round-up and night rodeo to be held on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8 and 9, reports Lee Weibel, publicity chairman. The cattle and horses have been brought in and everything every-thing is in readiness but the start off of the opening parade Friday evening. Crowds are already beginning to arrive for the event and practically prac-tically all of the business houses have reported they will be represented rep-resented in the beauty parade at 7 p. m. Saturday. The rodeo grounds are all in shape and Rulon A. Snow and Chester Gilbert Gil-bert of Las Vegas will be the rodeo announcers. Starting off the event will be the big "Cowboy Dance" tonight at th St. George open air pavil-lion. pavil-lion. This is always a big event and serves to set the tempo of the celebration. Calf roping, team tying, wild steer riding and other events will highlight the programs on both evenings. There will be no dance on Friday evening, say the Lions, but the Rodeo will conclude with a big dance at 10 p. m. Saturday. |
