Show Final Grazing Code Draft Here For Inspection The final draft of the Range : Grazing code has been received by Wayne Gardner. This is the government gov-ernment code which has been written by the stockmen under j the supervision of the Federal Government. Stockmen interested in it or those having suggested changes, are invited to contact Mr. Gardner, study the code, and present the suggestions to him. Mr. Gardner explains that the code has been in use on the range since the Taylor Grazing act went into effect in 1935. Changes have been made as they proved necessary nec-essary with a representative cattleman cat-tleman and sheepman from each district meeting in Denver in July of 1940 where the code was revised. re-vised. Representatives again met in April of this year with the legal representative of the government gov-ernment and revisions were again made. The draft that is now in the hands is the one that the stockmen and sheepmen agreed upon at that meeting. Mr. Gardner emphasized the fact that he felt that the code has been written entirely by the users and that if it isn't right it , is their mistake. He declares that the government has only those , rules in the code which were sug- , gested by the stockmen them- . selves. ' l |
