Show James S. Jennings Wins Law Suit A decision in favor of James S. Jennings of Hurricane and the Citizens National Bank of Los Angeles was handed down by a jury in the U. S. District Court at Prescott, Ariz., last Saturday. The decision was rendered in the case of Jennings vs. Adams. Facts brought out in the trial were that the conveyances were fraudulent and made to defraud Jennings and the bank. Therefore the conveyances convey-ances were set aside and nullified nulli-fied by the court. Mr. Jennings, who is 90 years of age, had entered into a partnership part-nership with John A. Adams of Cedar City several years ago. Mr. Jennings put up the money and bought the cattle which were on the Jennings-Adams Sand Hill range, and which Mr. Jennings rode until 1938, despite his age. At this time Mr. Jennings wanted to sell out, but according to the suit, Mr. Adams transferred his title to his brother. William B. Adams, in an attempt to defraud Mr. Jennings and the bank. The court recognized this attempt to defraud, and rendered the above decision. |
