Show Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Esplin Honored at Wedding Reception in Chapel Tuesday The St. George south ward chapel recreation hall furnished the setting set-ting Tuesday evening, June 10, for the wedding reception honoring honor-ing Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Esplin who were married at high noon in the St. George Temple, with Pres. Harold Snow performing the ceremony in the presence of a large group of relatives and intimate friends. The bride is a daughter or Mrs. Lillie Slade of Central and has been prominent in the younger social set of St. George for the past three years. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Esplin of this city. Both have been students of the Dixie junior college where Mr. Esplin won athletic honors. Following the Temple ceremony the groom's parents entertained at a family dinner at their home on diagonal street. For the evening reception, which was attended by 200 relatives and friends, the recreation hall of the chapel was decorated with baskets of pink and blue larkspurs and sweet peas, flanking one giant basket of peach colored gladiolas. For the reception the bride wore her wedding dress, a floor length empire model combining white taffeta and airline. Her veil was of white imported lace and hung from a coronet cap of self material, ma-terial, extending to a royal train length. Her bouquet was of white lillies with gardenias and scilax, with shower streamers of baby ribbon and tiny flowers. She was attended by Miss Hilma Esplin, cousin of the groom, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Bernice Holt and Mrs. Rudolf Ru-dolf Lortz . The flower girls were tiny Janice Esplin, sister of the groom, and Penny Rae Pace. Also in the reception line were the mother of the bride and parents par-ents of the groom. Mrs. Slade wore an afternoon dress of biege serge with tan trim and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Esplin i wore a formal of pink organdy with panel trim in blue. Her I corsage was of peach colored rose-j rose-j buds. I In charge of the gift rooms were Mrs. Gordon Whitehead, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. i George Pace, while Mrs. Lee Es-I Es-I plin. another aunt of the groom had charge of the serving. Mrs. J. Clinton Snow was master mast-er of ceremonies, introducing the program numbers which included a violin selection by Irene Everett, a vocal trio by Melba Baker. Alice Cannon and Mary Lou Wells; vocal duet. Mrs. Athe Meeks and Mrs. Px Nelson; original poem. Mrs. George Pace: sons; and dance numlvrs Yr Miss Bovenly Higgins of Boulder City: vocal duet by Mrs. Preston Hafen and Mrs. Grant Hafen of Santa Clara, and vocal solo. Miss Noma Andrus.
