Show Over 100 D.U.P. Members And Guests Attend Dancing Party Tuesday More than 100 members and their guests attended the Tuesday evening eve-ning dancing party sponsored by the three local camps of Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers at the Mc-Quarrie Mc-Quarrie Memorial Hall. Among the flowers used in decorating the building was a mammoth basket of pink larkspur and white feverfew fever-few contributed by Mae M. McAllister Mc-Allister of the Dixie Camp. Preceding lunch and dancing a brief program was presented which included the "Laughing Song" by Joseph W. McAllister; voilin solo, Irene Everett; reading and pantomime, panto-mime, Romeo and Juliet by Mae M. McAllister and assistants of Dixie Camp; duet "Will You Walk Me Anywhere" by Nelson Pearce and Mrs. Mae Whipple of the Foster Camp; numbers by the Foster Camp orchestra; a skit from "Giant Johsua," featuring the pioneer quilting party, by members of the Foster Camp; an impromptu discussion by Josephine B. Pace and Luther Hemingway- The W.P.A. orchestra furnished music for dancing during which lunches were served. This was such a gratifying party more are to be planned for the future. |
