Show Thompsons Return From Attending Mrs. Thompson's Father's Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Claud Thompson, i daughters Mrs. Boyden Peterson, Mrs. Howard Arns and Miss Alice Thompson, and son Joseph Thompson Thomp-son of Gunlock. returned late Wednesday from Blackfoot, Idaho, where they have been since June 2, due to the death of Mrs. Thompson's Thomp-son's father, 85 year old Joseph W. Tanner. His funeral services were held in Blackfoot Thursday. ' June 5. I Mrs. Tanner, stepmother of Mrs. ; Thompson, died two months ago and her father was making preparations prepa-rations to come to St. George to visit when he met with a highway, I accident which took his life. He was born in San Rernadino May 19. 1S56. a son of Allan Bene- ! diet and Elizabeth Jane Matthews, his parents being L.D.S. imigrants. They came to Utah when he was small, settling first in Washington, where they assisted with the parly cotton growing and weaving. They next moved to Beaver, remaining until 1912 when they joined the pioneers to Biackfoot, Idaho. |
